Samsung Galaxy F New Releases

Samsung Galaxy F New Releases

Hi Guys!  Samsung Galaxy F has been doing the rounds a lot lately and the latest evidence for it is an appearance at the FCC. The SM-G906S, G906K and G906L, all of which are believed to be variants of the Galaxy F, all passed through the Federal Communications Commission in the States. The interesting thing though is that a diagram showing the dimensions of the handset was attached to the FCC filing. According to the diagram the Galaxy F (aka Galaxy S5 Prime) measures 72.5 x 142mm, which would make it exactly the same width and height as the Samsung Galaxy S5.

It's also slightly surprising given that the screen is rumoured to be 5.2 inches, which is marginally larger than the 5.1-inch Galaxy S5. Presumably this will be achieved by shrinking down the bezels.

Other than that the FCC filing doesn't tell us much but it's yet more evidence that the Galaxy F (or S5 Prime if you prefer) is real and on its way.

Nokia XL Review And Price- Latest

Nokia XL Review And Price- Latest

Hi Friends! Nokia XL is the biggest handset in the Android lineup of the Finnish manufacturer, positioned just below the new Lumia 630. It has decent hardware for an Android phone that costs Rs 10,500, but nothing that sets it apart from the crowd.Just like Nokia X in the entry-level segment, Microsoft is trying to bring its own flavour of Android to the Rs 10,000 price range with Nokia XL. Does it succeed? Has Microsoft/Nokia made an Android phone that delivers what many have asked from the company for years: the customizability of Android with the durability of Nokia. Find out the answer in our detailed Nokia XL reviewNokia XL is pretty big for a 5-inch phone, mainly due to the huge bezel around the screen. Nowadays, even the likes of Micromax and Xolo put in more effort in the design process to create handsets that are easy to hold. Not so much for Nokia XL. It is pretty big, bulky and quite a bother if you frequently pull your phone out of your pocket.

Nokia X, the XL is boxy and characterized by sharp edges. There is a little slope on the back that is supposed to make holding the phone easier, but the thickness of the device (10.9mm) defeats the purpose. The Nokia branding is present on the front as well as the back of the handset. Below the screen is a single touch-sensitive key; but this key is not backlit, so you may find yourself fiddling to hit the back button.Nokia XL also runs on a customized version of Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to devices of a few other companies like Amazon. The custom software gets rid of Google Play app marketplace and replaces it with Nokia Store. However, you can still download standard Android apps via third-party app stores. For the benefit of users, Nokia Store itself offers 1Mobile, a popular third-party app store. So, it is pretty easy to access most apps on Nokia XL. It comes with a large number of preloaded apps, such as Facebook, Twitter, Astro File Manager, Plants vs Zombies, Newshunt, Vine etc.Alongside the preloaded apps, you will find several Microsoft and Nokia services. These include Here Maps app, OneDrive etc. These are meant to replace Google's products in users' everyday life. The overall look and feel of the home screen is also similar to Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system; you get a single screen with a long scroll, depending on the number of apps you have downloaded. Unlike Windows Phone, you can add widgets here, but it looks a little cramped.

multimedia experience was acceptable, but nothing extraordinary. All of the common video file formats could be played easily (using third-party apps like MX Player Pro). Audio quality from the speakers is not good and even at low volumes you will find the sound cracking.Battery life of Nokia XL is pretty good; the 2,000mAh battery can take you through an entire day. In our test, we used the phone for approximately an hour of calls and video watching each, a couple of hours of playing games and five-six hours of playing music. All the while, 3G or Wi-Fi was turned on.

Nokia XL packs a 5MP camera with LED flash on the back. The camera takes decent photos, offering accurate colour rendition and good contrast level, but lacking details. One good thing about photos taken from this camera is that dark areas did not show any grains. You can use Nokia XL to take a selfie with its 2MP front camera. Here the images appear grainy, as they do in most low-end phones.

Moto X Review And Release Date

Moto X Review And Release Date

HI GUYS! We're still waiting on Motorola to officially out the Moto X+1, which is expected to launch in late summer or early fall. In the meantime, however, the company has quietly introduced a 64GB version of the company's current flagship device, the Moto X, for $450 without a contract.Hoping to get more people to give the Moto X a whirl, Motorola also introduced a limited "try then buy" promotion. The deal lets you put one penny down on any Moto X complete with Moto Maker customizations and take it for a two week test drive. If you don't like it after that, you just return it.Don't get too excited, though: Motorola has already sold its allotment of "try then buy" Moto X handsets. Nevertheless, as Motorola looks to prop-up sales and clear its inventory before it changes hands from Google to Lenovo, we may see more of these deals in the future.

Don't get too excited, though: Motorola has already sold its allotment of "try then buy" Moto X handsets. Nevertheless, as Motorola looks to prop-up sales and clear its inventory before it changes hands from Google to Lenovo, we may see more of these deals in the future. advantage of "try then buy" is that you can find out what it's like to use the Moto X, complete with the colors and other customizations you'd like. Previously, the best you could do was wander into a carrier store and play with the stock version of the device. Before the 64GB release, the Moto X was available in 16GB and 32GB flavors, with the 32GB version selling for just $50 less than the new 64GB unit at $400 contract-free.Along with the storage bump for the Moto X, Motorola also recently opened up its Motorola Alert app to more of its phones. Motorola Alert automatically sends periodic location updates to specific people. The app can be used in times of emergency or just to let your loved ones know when you get home or arrive at work.

Motorola Alert first appeared for the Moto E, but now the Moto X and Moto G are officially supported, as first reported by Android Central.

How To Upgrade Windows 7 Easy Ways

Hi Friends! Windows 7 Starter edition is the cheapest, least-powerful version of Windows 7. It was never sold retail, and is only available pre-installed on inexpensive, low-power netbooks. But here’s the funny thing: Starter isn’t significantly faster than other editions of 32-bit Windows 7. They all have the same minimum hardware requirements. justify the low price, Microsoft removed a lot of features that can be found in other Windows 7 editions. It lacks Aero Glass which has since been discontinued in Windows 8), multiple monitor support, and Windows Media Center. And if you don’t like the desktop background (what used to be called wallpaper you’re out of luck. You can’t change it.

Upgrade to another 32-bit edition of Windows 7 (the 64-bit ones won’t work), you’re unlikely to see any performance hit. PC World Lab tests from 2009 showed no significant difference. (The tests were for this article, although Starter results didn’t end up in the final copy.) The Lab ran its WorldBench tests on the same PC running Starter, Home Basic, and Home Premium. Starter won, but in a statistical dead heat of 31 to 30. You’d need a stopwatch and quick reflexes to notice that difference.

If you do the upgrade and notice a performance hit, turn off Aero. It’s the likely culprit. You might also consider upgrading to Windows 8 (again, 32-bit). It might actually improve performance. But run the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant before you put down any money. It will tell you if your hardware is compatible.

Microsoft Released OneNote Clipper For Chrome Users

Microsoft Released OneNote Clipper For Chrome Users

Hi Friends! Microsoft announced OneNote would be free across all platforms to better compete with the likes of Evernote and Google's burgeoning Keep service.Following up its March freebie, Microsoft has released two new tools making it easier forSpringpad users to find a new home and for Chrome users to clip the web with a handy OneNote extension.Microsoft released the OneNote Clipper bookmarklet that let you save webpages to the QuickNotes section of OneNote. To install it, you dragged the bookmarklet into your bookmarks bar, signed in with your Microsoft account, and then clicked to save a web page.

several months of the web clipper being out in the wild, Microsoft discovered that a large number of OneNote clippers were using the bookmarklet in Chrome. To accommodate all those Google fans, Microsoft is now offering Chrome users a proper extension installed through the Web Store. To grab the extension, visit Microsoft's OneNote Clipper site in Chrome and then click the big purple button that says Install to Chrome. Next, click the Add button in the small pop-up window and you're done. Alternatively, you can grab the extension directly from the Chrome Web Store. If you want to add a webpage or photo to your notebook, just tap the extension icon and the page will be saved; however, the first time you use the extension you will have to sign-in to your Microsoft account.
SPRINGPAD TO ONENOTE:
           migration
shutting down on June 25. To help Springpad users migrate to another service, users can either download their data as a ZIP file or use a Springpad-to-Evernote migration tool.Hoping to lure more people away from Evernote and into OneNote's waiting arms, Microsoft has created its own Springpad migration tool.To get started, visit Springpad's Save My Stuff website and sign-in with your Springpad account. On the next page, click Export Your Data, enter your email, and then click the yellow Export Your Data button.Springpad says it will then notify you within 24 hours when your data is ready for download. In my case it took less than half an hour for my download to be ready, but your results may vary if you were a particularly heavy Springpad user.Once your download is available, click the "Download Zip" button in the email (being careful to avoid any potential phishing attempts) and your Springpad data will download to your PC.

Toshiba Canvio Latest Reviews And Price

Canvio Home Backup & Share barely ticked my radar until Toshiba sent TECHDEBUTE one for evaluation. Color me impressed—mostly. The Canvio Home Backup & Share offers a robust feature set and good performance for its class; however, it retails on the high side.world of impressive desktop-in-a-browser interfaces, such as the one you’ll find in QNAP’s TS-469 Pro, the Canvio’s stack of tabs on the left seems quaint. Aspersions aside, it’s exceptionally easy to navigate because of a logical layout and concise, descriptive headings such
as StorageDownloader, and Media Server Setup. The interface is also very facile less is more when it comes to rendering graphics quickly.

Canvio offers nearly everything the average user needs: Windows and Apple networking support; users, groups, shares, and storage quotas; FTP, SSH, and cloud access; DLNA and iTunes servers as well as Bit-torrent downloading. It also supports both USB storage and printers via the single USB port on the back of the unit.
But, while you can back up the box’s configuration and settings, that’s it for data safety. Missing are the ability to sync with another server and to back up data to an attached USB drive. And you will want to back it up if you have no other repository: The Canvio HB&S is a single-bay unit without data redundancy.
performance, our 2TB unit proved plenty fast for media streaming over your home network, but its middling write speeds will make for plodding backup times. On the bright side, Toshiba provides a backup utility that enables full system restores on a PC, and there’s Time Machine support for Mac users. unit wrote our 10GB test batch of files and folders to its platters at 25.7MBps, and it read them at 38MBps. It wrote our single large 10GB file at 36.6MBps and read it back at 74.4MBps. That’s good for an inexpensive, single-drive consumer NAS box, but significantly slower than the data rates you’ll get from pro and business units.Client software for NAS boxes rarely factors into our NAS assessments. Most often you can get away without it. Not so the Home Backup & Shareo’s; you need the provided remote app if you want to log on from beyond the local network. Remote access via broadband (aka your “Personal Cloud”), once enabled, is handled automatically behind the scenes. Simply fire up the Canvio Remote client (available for Android, iOS, OS X, and Windows), enter the provided PIN along with your user name and password, and you can log on from nearly anywhere.
Toshiba Canvio Home Backup & Share
Canvio Home Backup & Share competes well with better-known rivals from Seagate and Western Digital, and the super-easy remote access is a deal-maker. But as I mentioned up top, its sticker price renders it expensive for its ilk: The 2TB model reviewed here carries and MSRP $200, while the 3TB model is priced at $270.At the time of this writing, however, Toshiba might have realized it’s priced itself out of contention. I found these boxes—which come with three-year warranties—selling on Toshiba’s website at the discounted prices of $150 and $195 respectively. Still, WD’s 2TB My Cloud might come with just a two-year warranty, but you’ll find that box selling online for just $135.
