Sony unveils Xperia T2 Ultra, E1 smartphones for Users

SONY has unveiled Xperia T2 Ultra and E1 smartphones, along with their dual-sim versions. The company did not announce pricing and availability details of the two handsets at the time of launch."Xperia E1 combines the best of Sony's audio technologies with a premium design and great hardware to create a smartphone for people who want to express themselves out loud." said Calum MacDougall, director of Xperia marketing at Sony Mobile."It's a new, music focused player in our Xperia line-up that is underpinned by the best of Sony's design, display and content offers." The Xperia T2 Ultra, on the other hand, is a mid-range big-screen smartphone designed for emerging markets like China, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, according to the manufacturer.
The dual-sim variants of both handsets have the same features and come with Sony's latest generation dual-sim mobile technology that allows users to set up both sim cards independently, with custom ring tones and offers one-touch switching between sims before making calls or sending texts; users can keep both sims active simultaneously.The new Xperia T2 Ultra phablet sports a 6-inch HD display (720p), equipped with Trilumios and Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology. Powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, the phone comes with 8GB of onboard storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD slot. It features a 13MP front camera with Exmor RS sensor and a 1.1MP front facing camera with Exmor R technology. The phone has a 3,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) operating system.

On the other hand, the Sony Xperia E1 has a 4-inch WVGA (800x480p) display, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 dual-core processor with 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, 32GB microSD card support and 3MP rear camera. On the music front, it has a Walkman key, shake to shuffle and hardware controls for controlling audio tracks. Available in white, black and purple colours, the Xperia E1 features key technologies like a 100Db speaker and ClearAudio+ mode and xLOUD for louder and enhanced sound output.The music-centric smartphone comes pre-loaded with a 30 day pass for Sony Entertainment Network content store.
